Revenue Report for February
I set some new milestones in the month of February, both in total revenue and average per day. The beginning of the month started off relatively tame, but everything after Valentines Day was amazing. I was pulling in sporadic sales from websites I haven’t touched in months. I guess it was a case of the old saying “when it rains it pours”. So even though I am happy with my new records, I also know that there was some luck involved. Either way it is nice to post some progress.
Here are the numbers…
$1953.95 in Sales
- 388.18 in Expenses
= $1565.77 in Net Revenue
$1565.77 / 29 Days in February = $53.99 Average Profit Per Day
Hopefully I can keep the hot streak alive!
Free Affiliate Marketing Book
I just came across this free ebook over at Quit Your Day Job and I have to say it is as comprehensive a guide as you will find. Although it is written as an Affiliate Marketing 101 kind of resource, there are plenty of insights that are valuable for those who already have some experience.

You’ll immediately notice the email submission form, but scroll down a little further for the direct download link.
Thanks to Jeremy Palmer (author and webmaster) for putting this together.
Revenue Report for January
January was a decent month for me. I actually beat my personal record in sales, but a couple of one-time expenses made for a very average per day income.
I invested some money in my two new projects for January but neither site has yet to produce a consistent stream of revenue. Not really surprising since I am targeting long-range SEO goals, but it would be nice to show more ROI to date.
Anyway, here are the numbers…
$1476.96 in Sales
- 347.47 in Expenses
= $1129.49 in Net Revenue
$1129.49 / 31 Days in January = $36.43 Average Profit Per Day
Although I did have a couple of $100 days this month, my average is still well short of $200 per day. I need to stay focused and energized if I am going to reach my goal.
The Pros and Cons of Clickbank
Lately I have been putting all of my time and energy into Clickbank product promotion. As much as I am intrigued about developing other streams of income, it is much easier to focus on one affiliate network. I figure if I can master the art of selling CB products (which can be somewhat controversial) then I will position myself for success with more recognizable products.
Here are 5 Reasons I Prefer Clickbank:
1. It is simple to sign up, choose a product, and instantly get started.
2. The marketplace is transparent, which allows you to see what is selling and what isn’t.
3. All of the good offers are permanent. This means you can build a site around them without worrying about the network dropping it leaving your site useless.
4. All of the “need it now” markets are covered with at least one product.
5. Payouts are sent twice a month, and I have always been paid on time.
Here are 5 Reasons Clickbank Can Be Frustrating:
1. I have noticed some unexplained lapses in my revenue, and some of the forums I visit suggest CB experiences random tracking outages.
2. It takes a great sales effort to get your visitors past the skepticism of an ebook.
3. It can be difficult to rank in the search engines for an ebook review site.
4. Most of the niches go through seasonal lulls where people are just not buying.
5. Random Tracking Outages!
Every affiliate network has its up and downs, but since I have found the majority of my success through CB I will continue to use them. I personally don’t see an end to the information product industry. There is always going to be a population that wants instant access to information, and no one dominates this industry like CB.
Ultimately I would like to release my own product someday, but I am waiting to do it the right way. One thing is for sure, I will use CB to as the network to host it.
The Never-Ending Go Daddy Coupon
If you use GoDaddy for all of your domain names, then here is a little secret that will save you some cash…
Before you head off to the site to make your purchase, stop by Google and enter “go daddy”. The results will display a GoDaddy ad in the first sponsored listing at the top of the page. The ad should read “$6.95 Domain Name with Email Free #1 Overall Best”.
Just click on the link and voila! - you have the best discount GD offers. I have been using this method for some time now so I don’t see it going away anytime soon. Enjoy!
