How I Got Into Internet Marketing (Part 4)

calendar October 1, 2007

This is the final chapter of my internet marketing story.  Use these links to read Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of the story.

Although I was happy that I finally started making some online revenue, I certainly wasn’t content.  Now that I knew that it could be done once, I wanted to build on my success by launching several more sites.  I joined a couple of other affiliate programs and began researching more products to promote.  Over time I experimented with many different products, promotion strategies, and website formats.

While I found some limited success in my other attempts, my first website is still my number one earner.  But now I have entered a new period in my internet adventure.  After trying so many different tactics, I believe I have created a solid model for reproducing the success of my first website.  This is where Megadomainia.com, my old domain blog, has been reborn into a journal of my internet marketing goals.

Over the coming months I will be launching five or six websites.  Each will likely be in a different genre, but each will be built and promoted under a similar template.  The success I found in my first venture, coupled with the failures of subsequent attempts have taught me quite a bit.  I no longer have to waste time on things I know won’t work and I also have a small income stream to allow for more experimentation.  I have a basic model in mind for how I will attack my future sites.  It has not proven itself successful yet, but the first wave of testing just began this month.  I expect to see some positive results by the end of the year.

This is my story.  Now you know how I got here, and if you continue to read this blog then you will know where I end up.  The goal is to earn $200 a day after expenses.  The target date is June 2008.  Time to get to work!

That sounded like my story with only a few variations!

I’m a couple of months behind you, in getting focused, but how about this? Instead of getting sidetracked by “gurus”, I’m going to motivate myself by trying to beat your figures!!!!

A genuine Newbie Master Mind Group and Challenge would be interesting but I guess it would just deteriorate into people trying to promote the latest scam.
Anyway you and I need to stay focussed and hit that $200!!!!

I’ll be watching with interest. When I’m catching you up I’ll post again to give you a kick!! LOL

    Thanks for your inspiration!!!

Sounds good Paul – keep me updated. Maybe we should get a gentlemen’s bet together to keep things interesting?
