Lately I have been putting all of my time and energy into Clickbank product promotion. As much as I am intrigued about developing other streams of income, it is much easier to focus on one affiliate network. I figure if I can master the art of selling CB products (which can be somewhat controversial) then I will position myself for success with more recognizable products.

Here are 5 Reasons I Prefer Clickbank:
1. It is simple to sign up, choose a product, and instantly get started.
2. The marketplace is transparent, which allows you to see what is selling and what isn’t.
3. All of the good offers are permanent. This means you can build a site around them without worrying about the network dropping it leaving your site useless.
4. All of the “need it now” markets are covered with at least one product.
5. Payouts are sent twice a month, and I have always been paid on time.

Here are 5 Reasons Clickbank Can Be Frustrating:
1. I have noticed some unexplained lapses in my revenue, and some of the forums I visit suggest CB experiences random tracking outages.
2. It takes a great sales effort to get your visitors past the skepticism of an ebook.
3. It can be difficult to rank in the search engines for an ebook review site.
4. Most of the niches go through seasonal lulls where people are just not buying.
5. Random Tracking Outages!

Every affiliate network has its up and downs, but since I have found the majority of my success through CB I will continue to use them. I personally don’t see an end to the information product industry. There is always going to be a population that wants instant access to information, and no one dominates this industry like CB.

Ultimately I would like to release my own product someday, but I am waiting to do it the right way. One thing is for sure, I will use CB to as the network to host it.

$1249 / 31 Days in October = $40.31 Average Profit Per Day

It is funny; now that I have had some consistent success, my expectations are much higher. I am thankful that revenue has increased, but what I really want is to take that next step in affiliate marketing. I want to get past this $1000 mark I am stuck at and start making some bigger strides.

I am going to use November to concentrate on tweaking my game plan in hopes of building income faster. I had some situations at home this month that prevented me from doing all the work I wanted, but I am hopeful this month will be better. I just need to stay away from the distractions!

Until next month…

There are quite a few Clickbank bashers roaming the forums these days, and I have to say that I really don’t get it. Most of them go on and on about how all Clickbank products are either crap or scams. They can’t justify selling the products themselves so they find it necessary to rip the entire Clickbank community. My question is why bother? Why take time out of your day to bash something you don’t even use?

There are thousands of products and offers out there for an affiliate marketer to choose from. Some of the hottest ones are ringtones, dating sites, and credit cards. I assume that many Clickbank haters promote these offers, and this makes me wonder how rigid their standards really are. After all, most of them bait customers with something free, only to sneak in a reoccurring monthly charge or shady term of service. Do you think that promoting a “free offer” that ultimately costs the consumer down the line is doing anyone any favors?

Clickbank offers ebooks that serve the needs of many different niches. Just like any other product, it is the consumer that determines the true value of the products. If they don’t sell, or if they are not priced competitively, then that price will continue to fall until it is free. Clickbank also offers a 100% refund within 8 weeks of the sale, so no one should ever walk away feeling slighted. I invite anyone to show me a similar refund policy on ringtone or dating offers.

The bottom line is don’t waste your time bashing what thousands before you have found to be legitimate. Just because something doesn’t fit your tastes doesn’t mean someone else won’t find it to be a perfect fit. The customer will decide what is worth their time and money…everything else is irrelevant.
