EzineArticles Backlash
My recent entry about almost losing my EzineArticles account has started a stir in the EA community. Chris Knight, who is the publisher and CEO of EzineArticles, picked up my post somewhere and voiced his take on his blog.

what others are saying about us, both positive and negative. This post by Geoff from Cincinnati caught my attention today: My Brush with EzineArticles Death
It’s weird that he makes a comment about our market strength and then in the very next paragraph slams the basis for why I think we have market strength: “If there is any downside to EzineArticles, it is their strict usage guidelines and submission requirements.”
I tried to clarify my original statement with a comment on Chris’ blog. I want everyone to know that I wasn’t criticizing EA’s policies, but rather the manner in which my suspension occurred. I would have liked to know why my entire account was suspended for a pen name that I used numerous times over the past year. That’s it – no ulterior motives involved.
The thing that I find most entertaining about Chris blog entry is some of the different comments that were posted. While I think most people understand my dilemma, there are a few who can’t get past the fact that I question certain aspects of EA, yet praise it for others. Do I have to love or hate everything about the EA website? No – I can like some aspects and dislike others. This is called my opinion. Take it for what it is worth, but don’t give me rules for forming my own thoughts.
